COVID-19 Symptoms

Stop the Spread of COVID-19
Riverton City encourages all residents to head the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines and the Utah Coronavirus Task Force on actions you can take to stop the spread of COVID-19.

  • Wash Your Hands!Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing, or having been in a public place. If soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
  • To the extent possible, avoid touching high-touch surfaces in public places – elevator buttons, door handles, handrails, handshaking with people, etc. Use a tissue or your sleeve to cover your hand or finger if you must touch something.
  • Avoid touching your face (eyes, nose, mouth, etc).
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Clean and disinfect your home to remove germs: practice routine cleaning of frequently touched surfaces.
  • Avoid all non-essential travel.
  • Practice social distancing by staying at least 6 feet away from other people.
  • Wear a face covering when you cannot be adequately distanced from others.

Vulnerable Populations & Service Opportunities
Service OpportunitiesCOVID-19 has shown to more negatively impact older adults (those ~60 years old and above) and people with pre-existing medical conditions such as heart disease, lung disease. diabetes, etc. These populations are encouraged to take extra precautions to ensure they don't get the virus. This presents an opportunity for our community to step up to ensure these folks don't have to risk going out. If you need help or can give help, please consider contacting any of these organizations:
