Old Dome Meeting Hall

Riverton’s iconic Old Dome Meeting Hall, situated prominently at the entrance of the Riverton City Park, was completed and opened in 2015. Meant to reflect Riverton’s heritage, the building was fashioned after the famed Old Dome Church, which was built in the early 1900s. The Old Dome Church, which served as a ward meeting house for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, took the community nearly 10 years to build and was known as “one of the finest ward meeting houses in the church.”

Today, the Old Dome Meeting Hall serves the Riverton community as a public home for historic and cultural displays, a meeting place for civic events, and a gathering place for special occasions. As the most iconic structure in the city, the building’s dome is featured as part of the Riverton City logo.

The Old Dome Meeting Hall is currently available for viewing Monday-Wednesday 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. The building is reservable for private or public events Thursday-Saturday.
