Economic Development Committee Purpose
The Economic Development Committee assists in the creation of Riverton City’s economic development strategy and with the revitalization efforts of the downtown area. The committee conducts research, provides analysis on existing and future needs, identifies potential development sites, promotes business growth, solicits resident feedback, and works in conjunction with elected officials and city staff to maximize the economic vitality of the city. The committee consists of up to seven members. Meetings are held quarterly and at other times as needed. Committee members are appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council.
