Economic Development & Transportation Committee Purpose
The Economic Development & Transportation Committee assists in the creation of Riverton City’s economic development strategy and advises the mayor and city council on transportation needs and opportunities. The committee conducts research, provides analysis on existing and future needs, identifies potential development sites, promotes business growth, solicits resident feedback, and works in conjunction with elected officials and city staff to maximize the economic vitality and connectivity of the city. The committee consists of up to nine members. Meetings are held quarterly and at other times as needed. Committee members are appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council.
