Candidate Profile: I am excited and proud to throw my hat in the ring by officially announcing my candidacy for Riverton City Council, district five. Having lived in and raised my family here for over 35 years, my family and I look forward to this challenge. I will run a positive campaign, one in which I will display integrity and honesty in all my interactions and treat all I encounter with the utmost respect.

It will be a great privilege to serve my community on City Council. With over three decades of work experience with local government, I feel my experience makes me well suited for this opportunity. I will do so by listening openly to the concerns of all our community members with the goal of building a better Riverton, one that thrives economically and maintains that “small town” feel in our neighborhoods.

We live in a great city! Let’s work together to make it an even better place to live, work and play!

Candidate Profile: My wife and I and our six children have lived in Riverton for 16 years and we absolutely love it here. We love the small-town community feel, we love the location, and we love the people!

I’ve been very impressed with Riverton City government and its ability to provide great services and community events while keeping the tax burden minimal. I’m a firm believer that freedom starts with individual responsibility. If we want to improve our community, it starts with the person looking back at you in the mirror. With a solid grasp on the role the government should and should NOT play in the life of citizens, I would be diligent in protecting individual liberties, property rights, and keeping the county, state, and federal governments out of our city.

In the words of Thomas Jefferson “The government closest to the people serves the people best”. Our first line of government is the family. I will work to make sure Riverton City protects and defends the core family which is the heart of this community we all love.
