Riverton residents are encouraged to attend City Council meetings and Planning Commission meetings. All meetings are open to the public, with upcoming meeting agendas and past meeting minutes posted below as they become available.
City Council Meetings
Riverton City Council meetings are normally held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m. in the Council Chamber on the second floor at Riverton City Hall, 12830 S Redwood Road, Riverton, Utah. Meeting audio is streamed from and archived on this page. A public comment period is provided at the beginning of each council meet where citizens can address the council on any topic they choose. The council normally holds a work session meeting at 5:45 p.m. prior to council meetings that is also open to the public, though no action is taken there.
Planning Commission Meetings
Riverton City Planning Commission meetings are held the on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chamber on the second floor at Riverton City Hall, 12830 S Redwood Road, Riverton, Utah. Meeting audio is streamed from and archived on this page.
Meetings may be canceled; however, best practicable notice will be given for all cancelled meetings. All meetings are open to the public unless closed, pursuant to the applicable provisions in the Utah Open Public Meetings Act. Riverton City Hall is an accessible facility. Individuals need special accommodations or assistance during the meeting shall notify the City Recorder’s Office at 801-208-3126 at least two business days in advance of the meeting. Accessible parking and entrance are located on the south end of Riverton City Hall and an elevator is provided to access the second floor City Council Chamber where the meetings are held.
