Jordan River Trail
The Jordan River Parkway is a north-south system of trails that parallel the Jordan River, connecting 45 miles through Salt Lake County. The trail further connects to neighboring counties, allowing for travel to Utah Lake and the Great Salt Lake. Development and maintenance of the trails are divided among Salt Lake County and numerous local municipalities.

Margaret Park Trail
Margaret Park features a winding trail throughout the park. The park is sloped and offers three different entrances to the trail, one at the main entrance on 12275 S, one from Petersen Bluff Drive, and one from Margaret Rose Drive.

The Mountain View Trail begins at Mountain View Park and continues north along the corridor. Excerise machines are availalbe along the trail near Mountain View Park.

Riverton City Park features a walking path surrounding the central grass area of the park. The park is a short distance from the Riverbend Trailhead entrance for the Jordan River Trail.

Rose Creek Trail
Residents in the southwest portion of Riverton are served by the Rose Creek Trail. The Rose Creek Trail begins at Monarch Meadows Park and continues southwest through Herriman. A small portion of the trail moves east and connects with the Mountain View Corridor Trail, and a branch connects with the Monarch Meadows development.

Western Springs Trail
The Western Springs Trail connects Western Springs Park and Western Springs Mini Park. Though not a long trail, it is well-maintained and features two public half basketball courts along the trail. Along with the trailhead entrances below, the trail can be accessed from: Indian Spring Circle, Seminole Circle, and Zia Court.
