Events & Inclusion Committee Purpose

The Events & Inclusion Committee provides recommendations to Riverton City staff and elected officials about city events, including suggestions for new events, advertising recommendations and event locations, how to build bridges within the community, and how to promote inclusiveness. The committee also conducts research about events, evaluates existing events, provides analysis on existing and future needs, organizes fundraising efforts, provides volunteers, solicits resident feedback, reaches out to diverse communities, and works in conjunction with city staff to maximize the impact of city events. The committee consists of up to nine members. Meetings are held quarterly and at other times as needed. Committee members are appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council.
