The Parks, Recreation & Trails Committee makes recommendations to city staff and elected officials pertaining to park amenities and improvements, trail locations and improvements, recreation programs, and park locations in new developments. The committee conducts research, provides analysis on existing and future needs, provides recommendations on programming and space utilization, solicits resident feedback, and assists with site selection. The committee consists of up to seven members. Meetings are held quarterly and at other times as needed. Committee members are appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the City Council.
