I was honored to be elected for a full term on the Riverton city council in this last election. Thank you for placing your trust in me. In my time as a public servant, it is thrilling to see how well our community comes together to look after one another.
During this holiday season, we will be busy buying gifts for loved ones and baking food for family. All are worthy of our time. I encourage you to make time with family to serve a neighbor or one outside your normal circle of association. An unexpected plate of cookies or a thoughtful Christmas card that shows your care is what truly makes our community great.
Thinking of others in their time of need will form your family’s most cherished memories. Riverton City is partnering with The Christmas Box House to collect donations during the holidays. This charity is dedicated to providing emergency shelter to children in need. Donation items such as children’s clothes, sneakers, hairbrushes, diapers and numerous other things are needed. Please visit the city website to learn more about how you and your family can help.
Additionally, our city is happy to once again place wreaths on each of the veterans’ graves at the Riverton City Cemetery. Thank you for donating to make this possible. Remembering our loved ones who served in uniform fortifies the next generation’s conviction in following their examples of defending freedom. Please join us on December 16 to participate in the wreath-laying ceremony as part of the Wreaths Across America program.
Families across Riverton do so much to look after one another. I am delighted to continue serving you into this next year. This spirit of giving and neighborly care is the secret to our community’s success. Merry Christmas and I hope you all have a wonderful new year!
